When you send your troops out to collect resources, pay attention to how many resources you can transport away. The following pictures should help you to find where to look in order to control this.
Make sure you never have more resources in the villa than are protected by the safe. This will prevent you from being farmed out and no wages will be deducted for the troops (don’t worry, the troops won’t run away).
The best option is to always have everything in your inventory as items. Always diligently exchange your resources with the smuggler to convert the open resources into items for your inventory.
